Yesterday, the Met announced “John Galliano: Horizons” as the spring 2027 exhibition at the Costume Institute. In the history of The Met, only two other living designers have been the subject of monographs: Yves Saint Laurent in 1983, organized by Diana Vreeland, and Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons in 2017. The exhibit will examine and exalt the work of Galliano, who has been widely considered one of fashion’s greatest designers.
