But don't let that imply that we didn't take this project extremely seriously. After all, visiting a spa is a sensory experience—no AI bot crawling the internet is going to give you a full understanding of the look, smell, and feel of a place, and that's exactly what we're hoping to deliver with our first-hand assessments. To make the guide this year, we built from last year's inaugural list. A lot of our favorites earned their second slot; there are also a number of additions that we are super excited about. Some beloved, but maybe smaller-scale locations, have migrated off the list, but may have still kept a spot on some of our curated regional guides.
