This week I finally saw The Devil Wears Prada 2, delved into Met prep, reacquainted myself with the delights of afternoon tea, took a break for a facial, and was won over by the hobby lobby.

It was quite the spectacle at Lincoln Center on Monday night: 2,000 of Miranda Priestley’s closest friends and enemies gathered for the premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2. (I wore a mint chip-green Chanel slip dress and sweater—one of my favorite looks from Matthieu Blazy’s first Métiers d'art collection—for the occasion.) I loved attending with colleagues and friends who also work in fashion, and being able to chuckle at the industry jokes and pearl-clutch at the too-on-the-nose-ness of the film’s depiction of the state of modern media. Listen to costume designer Molly Rogers tell all to British Vogue’s Alice Newbold on today’s episode of The Run-Through.
For our May issue, Annie Leibovitz photographed members of the Met Gala’s host committee—I especially love the image of Alex Consani in a diaphanous, mango-colored Balenciaga dress. We also announced our Met Gala livestream co-hosts, and Laird Borelli-Persson put together both an incredible overview of Vogue shoots inspired by works of art and an exclusive first look at the catalogue for “Costume Art.”

Spa Daze
On Sunday afternoon, I made a hard pivot from the New Victory Theater’s family benefit at Dave & Buster’s in Times Square to the resplendent Guerlain Wellness Spa at the Waldorf Astoria—different but equally energizing! I sauna-ed, got a bespoke facial, and tried the cryotherapy chamber…all delightful. For anyone else interested in a spa afternoon, check out our annual spa guide, which launched today. We picked 100 of the best and brightest—from Auriga Spa in Singapore to the Waldorf, right in Midtown.

Tea for Two…or More
Last Friday afternoon, Alice’s marathon birthday celebrations continued, and her friends Margot and Celine took her to tea at none other than Alice’s Tea Cup, where she had not only a buttermilk scone but also a cupcake with pink icing. I ordered a tea called Alice’s Faerie Potion and she got to wear fairy wings for the duration of her stay. It reminded me how much I love tea as a meal—and had me referring to our guide to the best high teas in New York. (I love the Kit Kemp china that they use at the Firmdale Hotels.)

Milanese FOMO
While I was drinking my Faerie Potion Tea, the design set was preparing to flit over to Milan for Salone del Mobile, the increasingly fashion-ified annual design fair. Gucci’s installation included canned cocktails inspired by the La Famiglia archetypes from Demna’s first lookbook and a field of cosmos grown in a Brera courtyard. I loved Laila Gohar’s packing list for the trip; she went to unveil a carousel featuring giant root vegetables instead of horses.

Lots to Love!
Earlier this week we had the exclusive on Diane Keaton’s estate heading to Bonhams in May and June. The auction house will have everything from scripts to some of her beloved bowler hats.

Double Your Fun!
For her latest sex column, Eileen Kelly looks inward and discusses entering her first age-gap relationship. Honestly, she makes a compelling case!

Hobby Lobby
I loved Minty Mellon’s piece about what to wear for your favorite hobbies. We’ve been talking a lot about hobbies at Vogue—especially since Laird’s Fendi needlepointing project—and I’ve promised myself to do more things with my hands that aren’t replying to Slacks. For starters, Arthur has been teaching me chess (they play in kindergarten!); I’ve been trying to convince Alice to make collages with me; and last weekend, Graham and I biked to dinner—me on the backseat of his bicycle built for two (a seat usually occupied by one of my children).
